- A load of 100 kg is applied to a rod with a screw point, and the number of rotations (half turns) per penetration amount is determined. It is said to have a good correlation with standard penetration tests. - The test results are also available in a data sheet, and the condition of the soil can be clearly displayed through test tables and diagrams. There is an increasing trend of its use in soil location surveys.
